The Hotel Regina Margherita is located right in the heart of Cagliari, just a short distance from the harbour and the main shopping streets. On leaving the hotel, you are immediately immersed in an evocative atmosphere with time-honoured streets, trattorias, restaurants and bars everywhere you look, all marked out by that very special light that you can only see in coastal cities.

Very nearby is the famous promenade of Via Roma. Under the arcades and in the surrounding streets, you will find the city's most attractive shops as well as myriad places in which to sample a local delicacy or enjoy a drink.
Behind the Hotel is the ancient Castello district, built on a hill and encircled by fortifications, from which you can take in the stunning panorama of the so-called “Gulf of the Angels” (Golfo degli Angeli).

The Regina Margherita is strategically located, serving as an ideal base both for exploring the old town of Cagliari and for heading off to other destinations, such as the famous Poetto beach (accessible in just a few minutes by public transport), the Roman amphitheatre excavated out of the rock, the paleo-Christian basilica of San Saturnino, immersed within parkland and near to archaeological excavations, the archaeological area of Tuvixeddu (the largest Punic necropolis still extant), the Villa of Tigellio and the traces of the Roman city under the church of Sant’Eulalia.

From Cagliari-Elmas airport, follow the signs for “Cagliari Via Roma” (lato portici) and then the signs for “Bastione S.Remy”. The Hotel is located 200m before the bastion, on Viale Regina Margherita.
